I have tried close to 400 Felony, Gross Misd. and Misdemeanor Jury trials to verdict in my law career and have been involved in over 150 appeals - more than any other private attorney in Minnesota. At one point I won 12 DWI jury trials in one county alone.

Biggest Appeal Wins: DNR cop must have warrant to enter your Ice-Fishing house ---- A Judge CANNOT order "Cash Only" Bail.

Biggest Jury Trial Win (from my client's perspective -- facing life in prison with no parole): One of the few, if any, directed verdicts of Not Guilty in a First Degree Murder case. Judge found him not guilty after State put in its case.
School Story:

Lost 1960 election bet with Don Siepel. I bet on Nixon. Pushed a peanut with my nose the length of the football field. Didn't realize the scab it would cause. It made the local paper.

Happy Birthday my friend. Wanted to get right on this because my short term memory comes and goes. My long term memory is still intact and I have a fond and detailed memory of our high school days. In any case, have a good one because we are running out of them. If we have a 65th reunion I will try to make it. Enjoy!!!

Happy Birthday - Wish all is well with you and your family. 80 is some sort of milestone - so I'm told. I look forward to greeting you every year until one of us says our final goodbye. Actually, I'm surprised I made it this far after some of the crazy stunts I got myself involved with back then. Fun but neverless probably pretty stupid. Anyway, have a good one. Sam

Happy Birthday Dean. It was fun reminiscing at the class reunion about our school days but I was even more impressed about how young you looked and how successful you were. Good Job.
