The members of the Coventry Police Department express their condolences on the passing of retired Lt. Lyndon L. 'Lyn' WIlmot. Lt.Wilmot became a police officer on Jauary 10, 1969 and attended the 57th session of the Connecticut Police Academy where he graduated at the top of his class.

Lt. Wilmot was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on May 11, 1986 and he retired from service on June 4, 2000.

Lt.. Wilmot's personnel file contains numerous complimentary letters and commendations from citizens of Coventry for his helpfulness and compassion.

The police department expresses their sincere sympathy to Lt. Wilmot's family and freinds.
