Linda S. (Smith) Hoeffer, 69, of Westward Way, died Monday, Jan. 2nd, in the St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband, Drew Hoeffer, died in 1990. She leaves her son Dane A. Hoeffer of Southbridge; her daughter, Lissa J. Kane and her husband Kenny of Southbridge; her brother, Chuck Smith of East Hartland, CT; her sister, Barbara Hornyak of Ovide, NY; four grandchildren, Kayla Kane, Brianna Hoeffer, Brittney Hoeffer and Tyler Kane; and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Manchester, CT, the daughter of the late Edgar and Astrid (Wilder) Smith.

Linda was a business systems analyst and computer programmer for United Technologies in South Windsor, CT, for over 38 years, retiring several years ago. She enjoyed boating and fishing on the ocean and enjoyed reading. She loved animals. Linda was a strong, giving person who loved her family and friends unconditionally. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday Jan. 6th, at 10:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in the Holland Cemetery, Holland. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
