Barbara Pfeiffer (Sposito)

 

Barbara Joan (Pfeiffer) Sposito, age 70, married to beloved husband of 51 years, John J. Sposito, Jr., died on September 19, 2013 in the comfort of her home. Barbara was the cherished mother of her five children. She leaves to mourn two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Felix Lopez, Lisa and Buzz Toce; three sons and daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary Sposito, David Sposito, and John Sposito III; four precious grandchildren, Kaila and Kyle Toce, Lauren and Anthony John Sposito; two sisters and brother, Jeannette Hubbard, Doris Boulanger, and William Pfeiffer; a special niece Joyce Willing; and an amazing friend, hero, and kidney donor, Cindi Quaglini. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Minnie Pfeiffer; sisters Eleanor Green and Mildred Alisch; and a special nephew Richard Green. Barbara retired from Cigna as a Data Manager. At St. Maurice Church, Barbara was an Extraordinary Minister and belonged to the Christmas Fair and Share & Care groups. The family extends gratitude to the Hartford Hospital Transplant Team and the VNHSC Hospice Program for their respective care and compassion. 
Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 22 at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maurice Church, Bolton, followed by internment at Bolton Center Cemetery.
