Alfred W. Driggs III, 52,  husband of Barbara (Waczek) Driggs, died Oct. 2 at his home. He was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Hartford, son of the late Alfred W. and Margaret (Olmsted) Driggs Jr., and had lived for most of his life in Manchester. Mr. Driggs was treasurer of the Savings Bank Life Insurance Co., and had been with the company for over 30 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter, Alfred W. “Chip” Driggs IV, and Julie W. Driggs, both of Manchester; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William B. and Frances Driggs of Manchester, John L. and Mary Driggs of Manchester, and Donald 0. and Lucy Driggs of Rocky Hill; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan W. and Allyn F.
