Sandra Lynn Korney, 79, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully Saturday February 18, 2023 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Formerly of Higganum, CT, Mrs. Korney was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Ross) Cummings and Francis A. Cummings. Mrs. Korney was proud to be a registered nurse her whole life. Wherever she went she always made friends. Mrs. Korney loved cats, sea turtles, the beach and especially her grandchildren with all of her heart. She enjoyed sharing her love for butterflies with her granddaughter Jenna.
Survivors include her daughter, Lee A. Strickler and son, Paul R. Korney both of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Tyler W. Kelsey, Jenna M. Kelsey, Dylan A. Korney and Gwen P. Korney all of Colorado Springs, CO.
A private lunch with family and close local friends will be held.
