VIARA, Kenneth "Ken" John Kenneth "Ken" John Viara, 65, formerly of Windsor Locks and presently of Davenport FL, passed away Thursday (February 5, 2009) after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Judith A. (Connell) Viara of Davenport FL. He is also survived by his mother Elizabeth Viara, and a devoted daughter and son Christine Zapala, and Michael Viara, as well as his daughters Lori Morris and Karen Pyznar. Ken also leaves six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two brothers. Kenneth was predeceased by a daughter Bettina Jane Viara. Ken had retired after 32 years with SNET. He later worked part-time at Lego in Enfield and the Culinary Institute in Suffield. In Florida he drove boats for Disney, and had a security position at Dolphin & Swan Hotels. A wake will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 10-11 a.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, followed by a Funeral Service, and then burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
