Irene Cyr Obituary

Irene R. Cyr passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024, in Tolland, CT. Born on May 22, 1943, in Hartford, CT, to her parents, Walter Recknagel and Ruth Virginia Harrison.
Irene graduated from Manchester High School in 1961 she worked at Travelers Insurance Company as a Keypunch Operator, Manchester School System and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church as treasurer and secretary.
She was married to Norman Cyr for 42 years until his passing. Irene was predeceased by her son, Norman Thomas Cyr as well as her brothers, Thomas and Ronald Recknagel. She is survived by her first cousins and second cousins, many beloved friends and fellow church members.
Calling Hours will be held at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street Manchester, CT, on Wednesday, March 13th from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. followed by burial in East Cemetery.
