Kathleen (Kathy) Franzen, 67, of The Villages passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

Mrs. Franzen was born in Willimantic, CT, the daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Swol) Reardon. Kathy moved to The Villages in Lady Lake from Forest,VA in 2004 where she operated her embroidery service.

Kathy enjoyed her work as "Katydid" in The Villages Clown Alley #179 she enjoyed playing mahjongg with Gerda and Anne, and embroidering with Anne, The Gran. 

Kathy is survived by her husband, Eugene; her daughters Kristen Franzen, of Walterboro, SC, Kendall Henry, of Lemont, IL; her grandson Alex.; her mother, Julia Reardon, of Leesburg, FL; and her very dear sister, Lesley Buckley, of Lady Lake, FL, her "angel" sister-in-law, Margie Wilson of Gainsville, FL., and her close cousin Donata Delulio, of Groton, CT.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Timothy Catholic Community, The Villages. Memorial contributions may be made to: Marion County Hospice, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474.
