CENTER RUTLAND ----- Arlene M. Sterling, 61, of Center Rutland died Thursday afternoon, Sept. 29, 2005, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

            She was born in Manchester, Connecticut on November 4, 1943, the daughter of James and Josephine (Vasques) McGann.

            Mrs. Sterling was the manager of a bed and breakfast for several years in the state of Washington.

            She moved to Center Rutland from Camino Island, Washington in 2002.

            She enjoyed hiking, kayaking and her dog, “Snowflake”.

            Surviving are two nieces, Michelle Dvjak and Monique Dornig, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; a nephew, Steven Arbogast of St. Petersbur, Florida; a grandnephew and several cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents and by a sister, Barbara McGann.

            A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral Home.

            There will be no calling hours.

            The Clifford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
