GARRITY, Arlyne M. Garrity, 43, of Mansfield, Pa., died Monday (Oct. 19) at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa.  She was the daughter of Atty. Harold W. and the late Arlyne (Moriarty) Garrity.  She was born in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School.  She received her BA degree from Emerson College, Boston, Mass., and her MA from the University of Southern California.  She also attended the University of Colorado and the University of Louisiana.  At the time of her death, she was a professor of speech of the Speech Department at Mansfield University.  She had also taught at Emerson College, Boston, Mass.  She was listed in the 1964-65 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges,” and in 1966 edition of “Outstanding Young Women in America.”  She specialized in performing one woman shows.  Besides her father, she leaves a brother, David Garrity of Tolland.  Private funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  Donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Ladd Funeral Home, 19 Ellington Ave., Rockville has charge of arrangements.
