Louise Chappas (Finni)

Louise (Chappas) Finni, 70 of Manchester, wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Finni, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday on Oct. 23, 2014, with her family at her side.

Louise was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on March 6, 1944, daughter of the late Bella (Moge') Chappas and Nicholas G. Tsapatsaris. and resided in Manchester for most of her life. She graduated from Manchester High School class of 1961 and also from hairdressing school. She worked for 25 years in the Town of Manchester assessor's office retiring in 2011 and, prior to her ill health, part-time for the past three years. She was an avid gardener, collector of Oriental items, a fan of the UConn Huskies, and a great cook.

Louise is survived by two sons and a daughter, Scott Finni and his wife, Dana, of Jacksonville, Florida, Rachel Finni of Manchester, and Bradford Finni and Heidi Krajewski of Broad Brook; five special grandchildren, Amanda Finni, Elizabeth Finni, Brooklyne Finni, Camryn Finni, and Alexander Finni; two sisters, Lynda Cianciolo and her husband, Andrew, of New Hartford and Zena Keller and her husband, James, of Manchester; a brother, Timothy Buckley of Manchester; a niece, Calla Keller; a nephew, Sean Keller; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and their families. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by a sister, Sandra (Chappas) Holmes.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at 9 a.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in East Cemetery Manchester.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
