John Calve

John J. Calve, 70, of Bolton and formerly of Manchester, beloved husband of Diane M. (Dinallo) Calve, died peacefully, Wednesday Dec. 25, 2013, at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.

John was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Manchester, son of Elsie (Pertusati) Calve of Manchester and the late John J. Calve Jr. He was a 1962 graduate of Manchester High School and had served in the Army National Guard. John retired as an engineer from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after more than 35 years. He enjoyed small-engine repair working on lawnmowers and tractors, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with family.

In addition to his loving wife he is survived by two sons, Raymond A. Calve and his wife, Hope, of Coventry, and John A. Calve and his wife, Jamie, of Manchester; his "adopted" daughter Toni Gobin and her husband, Ernie, of Ashford; six grandchildren, Brandon, Tori, and Erica of Coventry, Trevor and Jacob of Manchester, and Kaleb of Ashford; two great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Claire of Coventry; and many more beloved family and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Dale J. Calve; his brother, Andrew Calve; and his mother and father-in-law, Olga and Raymond Dinallo.
