Frank Boyd

Frank H. Boyd 34, of St. Thomas,  Virgin Islands, formerly of Manchester and Coventry, died May 3. He; was the husband of Mrs. Kathleen Naktenis Boyd, formerly of, Manchester.

Mr. Boyd was a graduate of Manchester High School and Eastern Connecticut State College, Willimantic.

He was president of Sea Trek Underwater Inc. in St. Thomas and was well known as Captain Boyd and the head diver of Frenchmen’s Reef.

Other survivors are his parents; Edythe and Ralph Pasek; a sister, Deborah Pasek; and a brother, Tim Pasek all of Glastonbury, formerly of Manchester and Coventry; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Alice Reed of Florida and Massachusetts, formerly of Manchester.

The funeral was held in St. Thomas and he was buried at sea May 6, 1978 from the sail ship Taormina which was accompanied by eight other ships in loving memory to the man who contributed much to underwater sea programs in St. Thomas.
